Jeans into matching skirts: It is not a secret if I tell you that I love to give another life to old objects.

I already took some pictures of crocheted napkins that I transformed into dreamcatchers, weddings or Christmas recycled decorations… I recently shared a recycled handmade rain stick and I couldn’t wait to start also sharing my “eco-friendly collection” of matching clothes daughter/mother made with un-used clothes.

I’ve started sewing with some Pinterest inspirations and then while I was pregnant I made some clothes for my daughter. One day instead of new fabric I used an old dress (but never worn it, like most of the clothes we have in our closets…) and I used its fabric to make a bloomer for her. And that was the beginning of this addiction.

I love the principle of recycling: this world is going crazy in many ways, and we can work to make it better in all of them, even with fashion and a respectful way to wear clothes (respectful with human rights, animals and environment for example).

So here are some pictures of two skirts (one for me and one for my daughter) that I made with one embroidered old jean.

I hope you like the style, the matching skirts, and the way that I made these jeans into matching skirts.

Hi! my name is Sara and I am a DIY lover!
This blog started as a journal where I wrote my favorite recipes, from cosmetics and food. Then I started to create and upcycle clothes and I finally needed crafts ideas and easy kids activities for our homeschool journey. We love handmade stuff and easy projects and I share them all here!

This world is getting more and more crazy in many ways, but it’s totally urgent that every one of us have awareness about our environment problems. Too many clothes per person, other people doesn’t have anything to put it on…too many trash, plastics, and no interest in recycling…giving love to old things its not only pretty and creative but also totally necessary! Loved this work Mom/daughter code! Beautiful flowers on black! Adorable photos ???
