Gathering supplies

Before we begin, let’s gather the supplies you’ll need:

– Toilet paper rolls
– Scissors
– Glue or tape
– Markers or colored pencils

– pine cones!
– Twine or string (for the tail)
– Optional: small twigs or sticks for added realism

Crafting our squirrels

1. Prepare the Base: Start by flattening the toilet paper rolls and cutting them in half. These will serve as the bodies of your squirrels.

2. Cover with Paper: Wrap each toilet paper roll in brown paper to give your squirrels their characteristic fur. You can also use recycled brown paper bags if you don’t have construction paper.nornjustbleave it like that!

3. Add Facial Features: Use white paper to cut out the ears, eyes, and teeth for your squirrels. Draw on some whiskers and a tiny nose using markers or colored pencils. Glue or tape these features onto your squirrel’s face.

4. Create the Tail: Attach a pine cone with hot glue to the squirrel

5. Decorate: Get creative by adding details like a little acorn in your squirrel’s paw or a leafy crown on its head. Let your imagination run wild!

Once your toilet paper roll squirrels are complete, place them around your home to welcome October in style. These charming creations are not only a fun craft project but also a delightful addition to your autumn decor.
